Whether you're brand new to Farm Fresh To You or have been getting deliveries for a while, questions come up. Here are answers to the ones we hear most frequently.
Is all of your produce organic?
Yes, everything we deliver is certified organic. You can verify the organic certification of the farm growing the produce in your farm box through organizations like CCOF.
Where does your produce come from?
Some comes from our family farm in the Capay Valley, and the rest comes from our network of partner farms — these are folks we know and trust. We choose farms based on their commitment to quality and organic practices.
Do you use Apeel on your produce?
No, none of the produce in your farm box is coated with Apeel or similar products.
Why was my box delivered in the middle of the night?
Temperatures are cooler at night, which helps keep your produce fresh from the moment it leaves the farm until it reaches your door. We typically leave boxes at a safe place near your door quietly between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.
You can update your delivery instructions in your account if you have a preferred spot or need to share access information, so our drivers know exactly where to leave your box.
What if something in my farm box arrives damaged?
If there's a problem with your delivery — damaged produce, missing items, or anything else that doesn't seem right — get in touch with our customer service team, and we'll make it right.
Can I customize my box or skip deliveries?
Absolutely! Log in to your account to customize your delivery frequency based on what works for your household. If you know you'll be traveling, you can skip that delivery online or call customer service to handle it for you.
How should I store my produce when it arrives?
The weekly farm news included with each delivery has specific storage recommendations for what's in your box that week. You can also find the same information on our blog if you need to reference it later or want to plan ahead.
What kind of packaging do you use? Is it recyclable?
Our cardboard farm boxes are recyclable through standard recycling programs. The ice packs we use to keep produce cool are biodegradable. When melted, the contents are drain-safe, and some customers use the liquid to feed their plants. The ice pack containers themselves are also recyclable once emptied.
