In the 1920s, a young Italian immigrant named Anthony A. Bianco pushed a cart through New York City’s busy streets, selling produce. His entrepreneurial spirit quickly outgrew the pushcart, and his frequent trips to California to source grapes convinced him that the Golden State was where his family’s future lay. Shortly thereafter, Anthony moved his wife and eight children to the San Joaquin Valley to be closer to the vineyards that supplied his business.
